The Present Council
The Parish Council normally consist of seven councillors who are elected every four years.
The current councillors are:-
Should a vacancy occur between elections, the Democratic Services Officer at the Local Authority is informed. The Council issues a public 'Notice of Vacancy'; this provides for a minimum of 10 electors to call for an election. If, after two weeks, no such request has been received, the Parish Council is instructed to co-opt to fill the vacancy. At present (July 2020) there is a vacancy which the council is currently attempting to fill by co-option.
The next elections are due in May 2022.
NB: None of our Parish Councillors get any pay or expenses for this work.
